Personalised learning focuses on meeting the needs, abilities and aspirations of individual learners. This is achieved through the shaping of curriculum, teaching processes and learning environments. It is important to engage pupils, parents and outside agencies in the process of education, to enhance the link between teaching and learning.

In order to focus our research on Personalised Learning, we have broken the topic down into six core components. These are:

  1. Assessment for Learning
  2. Teaching and Learning Strategies
  3. Curriculum Entitlement and Choice
  4. Learning Environment
  5. School Organisation
  6. Strong Partnerships Beyond the Classroom
